About the Role
Experience: 3–5 years
We are looking for a detail-oriented and responsible Finance Executive to manage day-to-day accounting, compliance, and financial operations. The role involves handling bookkeeping, statutory compliance, reconciliations, payroll coordination, and supporting audits and financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle day-to-day accounting and ensure the timely periodic closure of books, including bank reconciliations, provisions and accruals, ledger scrutiny, vendor payments, and statutory payments
- Maintain accurate books of accounts in accordance with the applicable accounting framework
- Liaise with consultants regarding GST, TDS, ROC, and related compliance requirements
- Review monthly GST returns, prepare reconciliations, and ensure alignment between the books of accounts and the GST portal
- Compute and deduct TDS on vendor payments, review TDS returns, and reconcile the books of accounts with filed TDS returns
- Conduct data analysis and prepare periodic financial and management reports
- Support audits and provide the required documentation when needed
- Assist with legal tasks, including contract management, contract tracking, understanding contractual terms, and supporting contract negotiations
- Assist with month-end closing activities, including journal entries and ledger reconciliations
- Ensure that all supporting documents are maintained for audit and compliance purposes
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or a related field
- A master's degree in Finance or Legal will be an added advantage
- 3–5 years of hands-on finance or accounting experience, preferably in a startup or fast-paced environment
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets, including pivot tables and formulas
- Working knowledge of accounting tools and software
- Detail-oriented, with strong numerical and organisational skills
- Strong ownership and accountability
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information
